Originally, I made one elaborate piece each week. In full color, stretched on a canvas frame, with different embellishment techniques.
To keep up with the demands of grad school, I am now doing one quick gesture drawing a day and highlighting part of each sketch with a line of stitch.

It's harder to draw when my subjects are moving. Maggie is an expressive talker and was telling a story. The kickballers obviously would not stand still. That chair was the perfect muse!
